I've been reading that I should be able to delete a banned users posts, but cannot seem to work out how.

Any pointers?

Thanks,

Jon
You can prune a user's threads and posts in the Banning section of the ACP, you can view all their posts via their profile and delete them, or you could use this plugin for a quicker way to do it: http://mods.mybb.com/view/goodbye-spammer
Ahhh I need to upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6 to get it working. To upgrade do I just reupload the files over the originals or something?

There's also a plugin on mybbcentral.com which deletes all posts from a member of your choice. You will need to be a subscriber though.
I'm on the upgrade screen and it is asking for my previous version number. How can I find that out?
Its your previous MyBB version, e.g 1.4.1 etc. Make sure its correct, otherwise it may generate issue.
I'm surprised at how many people have no idea what version they're running... browse the mybb_datacache table in phpMyAdmin, you'll see a row for the version, it'll say your version here.
I never understood why people want to delete a banned members posts as it may make a thread hard to understand, but that's just my opinion.
I'm finding the goodbye spammer plugin doesn't have a link show up on my board. Why is that? I installed and activated it.
