Getting white screen of death. This is a different issue than the one I posted yesterday.

I can't seem to upgrade to the latest version from 1.4.11.

Here's the steps I took:

*downloaded the latest version and uploaded it via ftp to my server.

*checked my CHMOD

*went to mysite/forumpage/install/upgrade.php ... and that's where I encountered a problem.

*the site seemed to install a bunch of stuff, then after the "updating CSS" allowed me to hit the next button, and then froze. White screen of death.

*Now it isn't letting me revert BACK either. My whole site is screwed.

*deleted everything in my /plugins folder.

Every time I entered the /install.php url, it does the same thing.

If I visit the forum I get an error 43. None of the /forum pages worked, though the rest of the site worked fine.

-I'm on a yahoo host, using php 5.1.


What am I doing wrong?

The install directory (install/) still exists on your server and is not locked. To access MyBB please either remove this directory or create an empty file in it called 'lock'.

Not hard to understand. It seems it upgraded fine, but didn't install the lock on it. Just rename the install folder.
