I would just like to say, nice board you have here. Quick install on localhost without any problems (after I turned the error reporting off lol).
Lots of options and very fast as well. If it has a welcome panel mod with users avatar shown then I might be inclined to stick around a bit.
Every mybb comes with portal.php - doesn't that do what you're after?
Not really interested in a portal. Just looking for a user/guest avatar displayed on the main forum index page. Kinda like (avatar)-welcome member/guest...etc.
Ah i see - i don't think that mod exists but I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to implement... maybe drop a hint around

Yes, Ryan created this modification a while ago, but he's not been around much lately to update it, so I don't know how well it works with RC4.
I'm pretty sure he'll update it when he get's back online. Here's the link anyway.
