For some reason on my index it says I have 22 (1) replies.

I can only think the (1) if for an unapproved post or something but cant seem to find any.

So when you go into the thread list in that forum, no threads show any unapproved posts?? Try running the recount and rebuild tools in the Tools & Maintenance section of the ACP.

I experienced this same issue.

In our case, it occurred when an unapproved thread was copied to a separate forum then deleted from the original forum.

Recount and Rebuild solved it in our case as well.
