I tried moving the files to my home directory from the forum directory and the theme isn't working and neither are the posts / threads.
How do I fix this?

You want to have your forums on:
http://gw2arena.com/? If so, then move all of your files from your Forum folder into public_html.
I just tried that and none of the post links are working and the theme isn't showing up.

Do you have a file called forums.php?
No, I do not. Some of the links are still doing /forum/.....
Are your image links "images/themedirectory/image.jpg"? If not, and they're like "http://website.com/forums/images/themedirectory/image.jpg", then it's trying to find the image at a different directory which won't work. Did you also modify .inc/settings.php for the new cookie settings, new forum link and website link.
Before you move the files you need to make the changes to the board url and cookie settings in admincp >> Configuration >> General settings.
If you have already moved the files then you need to make the changes in inc/settings.php file and also in the admincp.
Assuming your board url was:
http://gw2arena.com/forum
and cookie path was:
/forum
then change the url to
http://gw2arena.com/
and cookie path to
/

I am not the best with this stuff, I'll keep looking for an answer for ya and let ya know what I find. Someone else should know this though.
Alright, the theme is working now, but the post/thread links still are a no go.

As I said above, you need to modify
.inc/settings.php for the new board URL and cookie settings.
