Can we have this option please? The current process requires us to split the posts we want to move into a new topic, and then merge them into the new thread. It should really be a single moderation step to move something to a new thread.
I like this idea, never liked having to split out posts and then merging the split thread into the thread I wanted.

+1 Smile
I have posted an idea for that almost 4 years ago: http://ideas.mybb.com/idea/split-and-mer...one-action
Some thing similar is already available: http://mybbhacks.zingaburga.com/showthread.php?tid=324
Should be a core feature, not plugin.

Not the same thing at all. This still splits them into a new thread. I want to move posts from one existing thread to another, already existing thread.
I came here when trying to discover how to move threads to a different forum. I'm having a hard time believing it's not possible to do it easily! I would have thought that's what a moderator should be able to do.

It is very easy to move threads to a new forum - that is a built in feature.

Forgive my ignorance -- i'm very new to mybb. Although i intentionally used different terms, i thought i was asking for the exact same thing.

"move threads to a different forum" = "move posts to another thread" ?

Maybe you could explain how i can do either one, or how they are not the same thing, or point to where to find such help. Thanks.

(I must say the hardest thing about mybb is how to find out how to do anything or what anything actually means -- mybb seems to be aimed entirely at expert bb administrators)
