N e one here good with MYSql?

I wanna move it from one host, Crazydomains to Dot5hosting

Happy to give the details 2 a trust member i have no idea on MYSQL

Ive tried a backup and restore, but it didnt restore on the new host. im sure there will be something in the forum settings that will need changing to accept the new database, what file do i edit? Thats the username i need to put in.

ufo8mycow14.dot5hostingmysql.com

Making back up in Admin CP > Tools & Maintenance > Database Backups > New Backup >
Select All
File Type: GZIP Compressed
Save Method: Download
Backup Contents: Structure and Data
Analyze and Optimize Selected Tables: Yes

then Perform Backup then go to your new phpmyadmin then upload it in your new SQL

what file do i edit to point the forum to the new database on a new host?

In config.php change database settings and if the domain or path has changed you also need to change the path and cookie settings in settings.php.

Thanks awesome, now i need need to fix this stupid cookie thing so it keep ppl logged in, grr
