I was just wondering if viruses can be spread to other computers connected to the router. I googled but some people say yes but people some say no.

Not unless you have some sort of network set up where the machines can access each others' files.

Also it depends on the virus.

Routers are fairly dumb. They don't execute programs the same way an OS does. While it is possible to infect a router it's something that's nearly impossible and highly improbable. Whoever is trying to infect you has better methods.

viruses can be spread via computers networked via a common router but it depends on the access level of the current users, the firewall settings on router and both machines, etc.

as labrocca put it, its rather improbable to infect the router itself and propagate the virus that way
