how to install chatbox and how to install themes... thankyou... if theres a tutorial please link me... thanks im using mybb 1.4.1 just rollback my version because i dont know how to install cb in it

On extracting the themes, extract the images in that Theme folder to your FTP site under /images
and go to ACP > Templates & Styles > Import a Theme > Browse the XML file of the Theme you want. If it give Version problem just tick the "Ignore Version Compability".

Upload the contents of the Upload folder to your forums's root and activate the plugin MyShoutbox from your Admin Panel.

Download it as a plugin, and upload it to the forum. You can either use a plugin uploader or just do it manually. You'd better read up on this stuff, though.

Themes usually include a readme that explains how to install it. The general idea is to upload the images and other files (theme may have jscripts etc). Once done go to import theme and import the xml file. If the theme is not compatible with the mybb version, you can select ignore version compatibility on import but do so at your own risk as it might break some parts of the theme.
Similarly, plugins will come with readmes too, usually the idea is that the main plugin file goes in to inc/plugins folder. If there are other files they will be sorted according to the folder where they should be uploaded to. If theres just one file then it just goes in inc/plugins.
After uploading you go to Admincp >> Configuation >> Plugins and Activate (or Install & Activate) the plugin from there. If the plugin has settings, they will be added under the list in configuration.
Lastly, you need to update your copy of MyBB, that version is more than 15 versions old and there have been many security and features addressed since then.
