*EDIT* Running 1.6.4.
I've noticed this with a couple of new registrations, what happens is that it's telling me in their profile that they were just online but if you check the Who's Online section, their username is not listed. I know of the time gap but I've observed it and it seems inconsistent.
It appears to be some sort of glitch as it keeps marking them as having last visited the forum whenever I check their profile yet the status is offline. It's only recording it as being part of their online time when that's inaccurate.
Any idea of what could be causing this?
They probable have selected "Invisible" status while registration.
Go to: ACP > Users and Groups > Groups > Select your usergroup > Edit [Options] > Miscellaneous > and tick the option Can view invisible users?
under Who's Online ?
.
Yeah I'm able to view it and I'm pretty sure they're not actually on the forum as at whatever time I check, it shows that as their last login.
So right now for example it'll say 1 AM if that's the time.
*BUMP*
Doubt it's that they're invisible as it shows them with an * when that happens and in this case, there is no * next to the username that has this problem.
This issue still has not disappeared and I really didn't mind before as it did not appear to cause any legitimate issues however, right now I installed a achievements plugin that assigns achievements based on online time and this glitch causes a discrepancy in fairly awarding them.
Yes PwnEm that * after their name means that they are invisible and they are only visible to administrators and moderators, any other group that doesn't have those permissions including guests won't be able to see them.
Yeah, I just edited my reply to clarify what I meant though as in this case, I know that it's NOT because they're invisible since it doesn't show the * next to their name as it usually does hence it has to be something else.

I have users that 'don't log out' ... I have asked the users why they can not log out the answer is they try but mybb keeps them logged in for 24 hours they press the logout but and it does nothing. But all users that are in that position use Windows (Linux/mac users have no problem) so I would think this to be a windows configuration error somewhere. as I do not use windows I can only guess a setting for cache or cookies is incorrectly set on your users machines
