The post attachment has been placed in the post and shows, for the 'registered user', as the traditional box with the red-x in the upper left.

Right_click/show_picture doesnt work.

Registered user 'permissions' seem to be ok.

Suggestions ?

Must be good subject title, lousy question :)
Problem still persists.
Is there additional information we need to include.
Lets see... permissions for 'Registered' user are '-View' and '-Post Replies'... dont want to allow '-Post Threads' and 'Post Polls' in this particular forum.
Not sure what else to say.
Thoughts ?
Do you have a second forum, or test forum on a different host?
Can you replicate this anywhere other than the one forum?

What about guests, if they can view this forum can they see the attachment?

Sorry, dont have another forum, just got started with 'creating' a forum thing this last week.
'Guests' have the same problem.
Maybe there are some chmod settings that are not correct ?
Am not skilled enough with unix/linux to know which files/folders to check... if that may be a potential cause.
Is this the 1st time this question has come up ?

I've never heard of it before.

Can't hurt to check here:
/admin/index.php?module=tools/system_health
Near the bottom it will confirm your file permissions.
What plugins do have installed?

Thanks, good question.
'fit on page' is the only plugin we have added.
Guess we could try 'hiding' those (3) .php files and see what happens ?
ACP >> Users & Groups >> Groups >> problemgroup >> Forums & Posts >> Can download attachments?

That is set to yes?

Everything for 'registered' and 'admin' groups is set to 'yes'.
Probably some things for 'registered' should be set to 'no', but for now until this problem gets fixed...
Im sure its a simple answer that will deserve a kick in the b...

Thanks, 'looked' at the file and saw some things about 'permissions', but not experienced enough to know what am looking for. Sad

PM me admin login details if you want me to take a look.
