Hello iPhoton here. I'm the Founder of btsxchange.com. It was made on 30th of March 2011. Basically, this site is about Online Marketing, nothing less and nothing more. It's simply a forum for marketing. As we are fairly new forum, we have very small amount of members but we keep growing each day with few members and hopefully will come out as a successful community.

We allow the following things to be sold on BTSXCHANGE:
  • Premium Filehosting Accounts
  • Steam Accounts
  • Runescape Accounts & Services
  • CD-Keys
The following types of sales are strictly prohibited and will result in permanent ban:
  • Carded items
  • Porn accounts
  • Stolen Paypal accounts

Our site was made out of simply general idea to start learning the most advanced and the best online marketing techniques to keep ourselves safe when doing trades/buying/selling something online. We do not tolerate scamming, that's what we are being highly aware of and every single scam report will be handled as soon as possible and reviewed to find out as much details as possible before the final decision.

We are currently trying to recruit as many members as we possibly can. You can join the site if you wish to but this thread was created for getting some feedback before we proceed on with the advertising. We are hoping that you will give us your honest opinion on everything you could possibly think of. We are trying to improve our site all the time, therefore we need feedback about it. Thanks in advance !

I chose myBB as I've only heard good things about it and I had tested it before to get a grip of on how it actually works. I've love it from the very beginning and will surely do in the future. I had the thinking of not getting a paid board such as IPB , vBulletin as I can honestly say myBB has quite the similiar plugins / use just like the paid ones. But the difference between those is that myBB is absolutely free! That's the best part of it Smile

Well we hope to get honest feedbacks & opinions regarding our site and also at the same time gaining some new members that will be active. Thanks & have a nice day !
My first initial thought is, is this even legal?

To resell CD-Keys, Steam Accounts, etc
If it's not, so why wouldn't I prefer to use eBay?

If you had some sort of custom market system that lists all sales or "Looking for" stuff like eBay, I can understand why you wanted to start this place.

But from a consumer's perspective, I can't imagine how much buyer's protection you would have as opposed to a huge corporation like eBay.

They have a much higher chance of guaranteeing me a refund.

What would you do to a scammer? Just ban?
What would happen to say if I lost $100 to them?
The only people that can resell Steam Accounts are Approved Steam Resellers:
Steam's Legal Policy Wrote:E. Steam Authorized Resellers.

You may purchase a Subscription through an authorized reseller of Valve. The "Product Key" accompanying such purchase will be used to activate your Subscription. If you purchase a Subscription from an authorized reseller of Valve, you agree to direct all questions regarding the Product Key to that reseller
What I'm stating is Steam Accounts - Personal Steam.

CD-Keys = Resellers.
Well just ban without a report / evidence ? Won't it be ridiculously ?

What?
Like you said. Just ban when you get scammed. Without any report / evidence ?
I'm buying keys from an Authorized Reseller. I don't buy off Un-Authorized Reseller.

Right, then what about me, the consumer? I'm out $100 then?

That's the problem, there's nothing else you can do to ensure I'd get my money back.

There's no protection for the consumer.
You got a point there. Sorry then. I guess you haven't explore the NET real well.

No, I guess you haven't.

I've been around enough to know Buying & Selling among forums is not something I'd want to deal with.

And unless you're running something like a full fledged business like eBay, forcing all users to attach a Credit Card to their account, there's no true way for you to force the scammer to return their money.

This would lead into upset consumers verbally/negatively bashing your site.

Sorry, but the idea was horrible to begin with.
Well alright. Kindly if a MOD or such sees this. Do whatever you want. I was just there to ask for feedback and I didn't force any to come by and sign up. I have been in this "kind" of marketplace. I know you better then you I guess. I agree scammers doesn't exist in real life as they'll be caught and dealt with.
