Full Version: Move {$forums} from Index to Header

Hey,

I'm creating a theme for a website and it is not going to be the same as normal. Here's what I need to do:
  • The current index needs to go in the header but I can't just copy {$forums} because that won't work.
  • I need to edit the Forum_Bit for the Index without touching the forumdisplay.php section.
I edited the forum index to almost how I wanted it but unfortunately when I went to a forum the subforum was completely mucked up due to the edits made to the Forum_Bit templates.

Does anyone know how I could do this? I don't want to use plugins.

This is apparently quite hard (thanks to Yaldaram's expertise for pointing this out) so I've changed what I want to do slightly. I simply need to move {$forums} from the index templates to the header templates.

Nobody knows? I know this requires some core file edits in either global.php or fuctions_forumlist.php but I am no good at PHP.
