Is it possible to update manually instead of using the upgrade methode.
Why I want this Is that I have some plugins that I do not want to get reseted.

Can I upgrade by edit in the codes myself?

The upgrader is only used when database changes are made. If you want to upgrade your board to a release that has database changes, then you will need to run the upgrader, else just upload the files.

Minor changes, like 1.6.1 -> 1.6.2, won't affect plugins anyway.

It won't do anything to plugins...
