Yea lol after all this is a "Discussion board".

However, I do think your getting the wrong impression. Hes just posted some plugin forums that he himself has visited and and is aware of. I dont think hes tring to promote any particular forum.

Like i said, posts some forums that you know of and im sure he'll update his thread.

This thread wasn't created to started so people could complain, its just a resource if people want to either:

a) Look elsewhere for free plugins.

b) Pay for plugins.

IMO, having a thread where someone can find all the plugin sites is a good idea. There a new site with plugins called mybbstar

Maybe there could be a MyBB web ring.

There's always the one in my sig. Also, I agree a page on the wiki is better.
