My forum tells me that this file has been changed, do I really need to worry about it? Original has 17638 lines and the one that I have has 18048 but I don't know how it's changed I've looked through both and they look the same
They can't look the same if they have a difference of 1000 lines.
Just download a fresh copy of the file, re-upload and overwrite it.
I have done this, but how could it of got changed?
You either edited the file directly or edited the language variables in the Admin CP.
By the way, global.lang.php does not have 17638 lines of code. It only has 403. 17638 is the number of characters.
