Trying to create a copy of a template set that I've been working on. (In other words, I've got to a certain point in this set and want to go off on a tangent that might or might not work. So i want to be able to backtrack if necessary.)

So I'm looking for some sort of 'Save As...' or 'Make Copy' option that I can use to rename the set I have. But it doesnt seem possible?

Seems that I can only create a fresh template set based on the Default template set - not on the work I've done so far in my own template set.

Am I missing something?

Just export the theme and save the file as what ever you want, then if things go wrong you can simply delete the theme and reimport the backup.

Looks like I haven't quite got a handle on the relationship between templates and themes yet.
