I'm thinking of registering a domain for a personal website, but I can't decide what tld I shall choose. The word i'm most likely gonna use is "wakiya".

I would get the .com if available if not maybe the .co.uk

I'd say dot com is always the best choice, if it's available.
It maybe boring but it's a fact that morre people tend to remember .com rather than others. Unless your not bothered about getting much traffic and it just for personal maybe get a .me

I wanted a .me but, unfortunately it is not on the list.
.net was always my favourite.

Yeah, it's one of my favorites aswell.
Has more of a "tech" feeling to it compared to .com.

Domain extension has no bearing on the SEO.
Just go with what works. A .com or .net works just equally.
