I have installed MyBB successfully for private use.
Can I change the "MyBB" logo on the homepage to my own private forum logo?

Yes. You can either upload your logo to the images/logo.gif (recommended if your logo is a gif).

Otherwise, upload your logo to anywhere in the images folder, and edit your theme (Admin CP --> Themes --> Modify / Delete) and modify the "Forum Logo" setting.
