On a side note, if 2 year olds used forums, this would be a hugely popular theme

Start with the color change.

If you want to keep the colors, first either mute them or use a more pastel version. As is currently they clash hard with each other. The icons are pixaled edge with their jagged look.

It's good to start with the default theme, but to try and come up with something more creative as we already have plenty of default clones around. Everyone started with a crappy first theme, take what you've learned with it and make even more mistakes since it's the only way to learn.

I am going to be making this into a vimeo-like theme. Stay tuned.
