Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to make it so that everyday at a certain time it would create a backup on my computer (just like if I manually go to new backup, download, ...).
ACP > Tools & Maintenance > Task Manager > configure the backup task.
But how to configure it so it downloads the backup instead on the server?
Uh, there's really no way to do this unless you install an FTP server on your computer. Honestly it'd take way too much trouble for what it's worth.
One of my friends is thinking about making a plugin that emails the backup to an email address
and it'll be good i think since most email clients support POP3 and well it'll work kind of the same way
or you can set a cron job on your host panel to do it for you!!!
Alright then, this is solved.
That's the next best solution, emailing. It can put a pretty big load on your server if you have a large database though.
