I've a problem in encoding when I convert from ipb 2.3 , arabic characters are not displayed correctly, they appear as unknown characters
I used UTF-8 encoding, any help?

Did you set your table encoding correctly in the Database Details portion of the merge system? Have you tried without UTF8 conversion?

first, I tried UTF8 encoding, and try with and without UTF8 conversion.
I have found the problem is that the ipb database encoding is latin1_swedish_ci and data written in it is UTF8 and as a result the data written in fields doesn't appear correctly before and after conversion.
It will be solved by changing latin1_swedish_ci encoding to UTF8 because merge system doesn't support latin1_swedish_ci .
