when i put html in the code tags it doesnt make it a code, it keeps it as what it would look like in html. Is there a way to change that?

Code tags just put code in a readable format. If you want posts to parse HTML you'll want to enable HTML in posts.

I have posts enabled with html but I posted some banners, like affiliate banners and I wanted people to be able to copy the codes, but in the code tags it shows up the banner not the coding

If put your code in a [code] tags then it wouldn't execute the HTML.

I did that, but they are still showing up as the banners instead of just the html code

I think it's a bug in MyBB. I will file a bugreport or search if one exists already.
Put the html in php tags for now.
