Ok. For the most part, I intensely dislike a paid forum software competitor of MyBB's (who shall remain unnamed).
They only have one feature that I absolutely love!
When you hover over a thread title, it shows you (powered by AJAX, I think somehow) a small snippet of so many characters in a bubble. So you know if you want to click or not! THIS WOULD BE AWESOME!
How many times have you opened a thread based on the title only to see the most ignorant stuff written in it and then want to slam your head into a wall for even opening it in the first place? Happens to me all the time.
It would be nice if this feature would include:
- Hover over thread title, see small section of first post in bubble
- Configure how many characters to include in the bubble
- Not use or consume excess server power
- ON or OFF on a per usergroup or even per user basis (not necessary, would be nice)
- ON or OFF on a per forum basis (not necessary, would be nice)
