If i assign a mod to the forum you see in the red box, will he automatically be in charge of all forums within that forum?

I ask because the forum in red is the main section, and each forum below that belongs to that category. If not, do i have to do it manually for each sub forum?

Secondly, what is the difference between a sub and child forum?

1-Yes he will have power over sub forums to.

2- I think Child is the forum with-in a category and sub is the forum in a forum.

Anyone else to confirm both?
