I know already some threads have been opened to solve that issue.I searched,but couldn't find better answers as I'm very new to Forum sites.
so anybody please tell me the step by step process of uploading a new theme and set as a default.Thanks
1. If there are images that come with the theme, upload them to the images folder.
2. You have an option on what to do with the .xml file:
1. Upload it to your server (anywhere within the MyBB folder will do, as long as you know where it is); or,
2. Upload it later to the server when it is time to import the theme via the Theme Manager (if the upload is too big for your server, use the first method above)
3. Use the import utility of the Themes manager. If you decided to go with the latter option above, select the .xml file for upload. If you uploaded the .xml file to the server, type in the path to the .xml file relative to the MyBB root folder.
4. If the import is successful, congratulations!

and I find import and browse theme option in my acp>themes.what can I do with these???

Upload it to any where in your server e.g. in your forum's root folder. Then use the Path of the .xml file in the URL option field.

If you want to "Install" the theme, then you must have to Import or Use Server located .xml file URL to Upload .xml file.
if I install the theme through ACP>Themes>import themes.then is it all done(after I selected it as default theme through option button)????
Yes. After images are uploaded, just import the XML and it'll be done.
so I have to upload the images through ftp first???
then I have to import the xml file through import themes button????
or I just have to import the themes file(xml).and rest are automatically done???
You have to upload the images and then the xml file.
