I am using the reCATCHA II mod to be specific.

The image verification shows up for guest, but regardless if the letter/codes are entered correctly or not it does not work.

Not to much of a big deal for me, because it works great for registration.

It seems this plugin does not work correctly with 1.6 there are a few threads about this. Try contacting the author

IIRC, reCAPTCHA has already been broken by spammers, so it is useless. The best prevention measure against them is the Registration Security Questions plugin created by our very own - G33K - (bad joke)

I wouldn't be so sure of that, Yumi claims that security questions are much easier to break than a CAPTCHA. And I think he knows what he's talking about.

True, there is StopForumSpam.com as well, but I've used Security Questions before and no spambot ever got past them.
