Well i want to put some restrictions to the signature.

Like maximum 5 lines. Maximum image size.

is this possible ?

Needs a plugin.

He means he would have to custom code it.

Yup,

I was just saying that he meant that he would need to custom code and also implies that it would need a custom coding.

I've coded a quick plugin for you, also submitted on the Mods site, before they validate you can download this from mirror: http://yaldaram.com/showthread.php?tid=806

This'll allow you to Select Usergroups who are Restricted to the Use of Selected Lines in their Signatures. If they added one more line then the limit, an Inline error throws on their screen to Edit their signature once again. In the error it also shows the Maximum Lines allowed in signatures.
