I am trying to use that theme, but the theme is blowing up the image where the header is, even if I have a small image, it will make it that size. Does anyone know how I could fix this? I would ask the author, but I don't know how to contact them.

In the header template the header image shouldn't have a width and height of 100%. If you remove those or change it to the dimensions of the image, it should be okay.
