Here at ECC, we have a few job opportunities. They're all volunteer work, there will be no incentive for performing them, except maybe a lot of back patting when they've been performed
Here's the list:
Newsletter Writer [Positions Open]
Amount of work: MinimalFrequency: Once a week
Skills Required: Good composition and grammar
I believe it's important that ECC have a good newsletter going, however I am short on time/lazy
. So, what you'd have to do after applying for the position is to read the forum RSS feed or just browse the board, and decide which threads to include in the email that would engage the recipient. This will include by default any new guides, blog posts, and announcements that occurred during the week since the last newsletter, and to provide short summaries under or before each link.All newsletter drafts will be sent to me for approval and mailing.
Blog Writer [Positions Open]
Amount of work: Medium-HighFrequency: Twice or more a week
Skills Required: Good composition and grammar
Currently, the EnigmaBlog is the meat of the forum's traffic. I believe it's essential to keep this going, and to heighten the frequency of articles. To do this, I'm looking for volunteers to write two or more technology-related articles a week. It's not a hard job, simply look for interesting technology news, get information about it from multiple sources, write it in your own words basically, then post it, and provide a small link to the source(s) at the end of the article.
At the start of your illustrious career as an EnigmaBlog Writer (patent pending

Moderator [Positions Open]
Amount of work: HighFrequency: Several visits a day
Skills Required: Good composition and grammar, excellent posting abilities, experience with forums, maturity, and good judgement.
I'm looking for some moderators to add to the ECC staff.
As a moderator, you would be required to visit several times a day, and become actively involved in the forum, which means posting
. You also cannot be inactive for long periods without prior notification, otherwise you will be demoted due to inactivity.When applying, posting links to other forums that you're staff on can help you get the job.
All positions, except the post exchange volunteer, must be applied for by either posting in this thread or by PMing me.
