Full Version: Thread Giving Invalid Forum Error

Ok, I just tried to view these two threads on my forum:
http://enigmachs.com/forum-rules
http://enigmachs.com/forum-improvements

And I got the "Invalid Forum" error message. How can I fix this? I recently changed my SEO settings to lowercase, but afaik the threads were working after that.
Did you update your .htaccess file??

I did. After I had implemented the change to lowercase I also had a problem with viewing user profiles, I had to disable SEO for those.
This has me clueless, as all my other threads work afaik.
Here's my htaccess:
Options -MultiViews +FollowSymlinks -Indexes

#
# If mod_security is enabled, attempt to disable it.
# - Note, this will work on the majority of hosts but on
# MediaTemple, it is known to cause random Internal Server
# errors. For MediaTemple, please remove the block below
#
<IfModule mod_security.c>
	# Turn off mod_security filtering.
	SecFilterEngine Off

	# The below probably isn't needed, but better safe than sorry.
	SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>

# the setting enabled in the Admin CP and you have this file

It's because there's nothing unique about your thread URL's. It's looking for a forum called rules because it's fallen into the forum URL scheme. You need to change the thread URL scheme to make it unique.

Thanks, that solved it Smile
What about my user URLs? I had to remove the scheme because it gave me a no permissions page. They were unique, and I did the right edits in my htaccess.
Try it again with the users... your .htaccess posted above looks like the thread rewrite rule could have blocked everything below it, not only user but also announcement, calendar and event.
