IT is designed you send an email to anybody who has subscriped to the thread. either by being subscribed automatically when the posted in the thread (can be set in the usercp > options) or if they clicked subscribe.
Notification options can be set in the usercp > options
the system is designed and works like most other bulletin board software in this case.
