I'm looking into getting a webcam (preferably one that I can mount atop my laptop), but I'm not sure which one I should get.
For those who have webcams (or know about them), which are the best ones? What brand is the best?

They're all pretty much the same these days. 0.3MP is standard and good enough for live video conferencing. If you're looking for publishing video online and not streaming then a normal HD camera is what you want (record, then upload).
That being said I liked my Creative Labs webcam I bought 2 years ago (~$10 from their online outlet).

@post above, that one looks fine for the price I'd say.
More like 900ish once you get a decent lense. My friend talks to his parents nightly, they are in japan. So if you need real HD video thats what to use.
