Pretty sure deleting you're own posts is disabled here. And, if they just deleted old bumps why even have a bumping rule?

I interpreted it as posts that didn't really contain any meaningful content (something like "Any more ideas?" "We just got 30 members!" etc.) and mostly served to bring the post up to the top.
