is there anyway to do this instead of doing it one by one?

Select threads you want to copy, choose Delayed Moderation from the Inline Moderation Options. Set how much time you want to delay moderation and select the forum where you want to copy the selected threads. Then wait the time which you previously set (1 day minimum).

Besides this there is no other way around I think.
