I'm trying to do valign="bottom" but where do I put this? I want user signatures to be at bottom of their post bit.

As Conor said, signatures are at the bottom of posts. Could you please elaborate on what you mean?
Yeah they are at the bottom of the post, but they are not absolutely lined with the bottom of the whole postbit.
E.g.
