How to redirect some thread url or post url to new subdomain url???i have seen that mybb forum owners have did that on http://community.mybboard.net/showthread.php?tid=14202 to http://community.mybb.com/showthread.php?tid=14202

currently my mybb forum in root.i want to move it to forum directory.but i have some backlinks to my post in my current root doamin.will it affect current my backlinks??

Oh, I see. They have redirect the link from .net to .com. Meaning they have either downloaded the back up database and upload to the the new one or they have redirected it from there hosting company which is SoftLayer. It can be done by talking to your hosting company. If you are using CPanel. Then just log in to your CPanel and click on redirect domain. From there, you can redirect it but I recommend talking to your hosting company before redirecting because they can help you really fast.

Best option would be to find out your hosting company and then search topics about redirecting in Google for that company.

Set up a parked domain in your host control panel.

i dont want to change domain...i want to change it from www.example.com to forum.example.com....will it affect my current backlinks with www.example.com/showthread.php?tid=43&pid=240#pid240 etc????i want to make them like this forum.example.com/showthread.php?tid=43&pid=240#pid240...is it possible???
