Your forum looks good to me (besides the Who Viewed Thread error) and the cookie settings seem to be correct.
Are you sure you emptied your cache? Try rebooting your computer.

Trying to change the same in ACP , just doesn't work, kicks me out to the login page
go to "inc/settings.php" and do the same setting there and than edit settings in ACP.. or edit settings in ACP and delete "settings.php" file from "inc/" it will auto generate new settings file as per your new settings in "inc/" folder.
