I have a small issue with text in some columns.
Text is compressed and column shortened, but not for all
forums.

The thing is, some browsers show it correctly and IE8 does not
unless I click compatibility view icon. Also IE9 seems to handle this correctly. Anyone an idea how to fix?

Yes, I know.. Looking fine in IE6, IE9, Chrome and FF
It's just IE7/IE8 AFAIK.

Should I just go and find another theme?

I will recommend not to use IE7/IE8, many theme will not look fine on than browsers.

Anyways, looks good at opera, sometimes i have to refresh the page on random sites because of this issue.

Run your website through the W3C Markup Validation Service. Eliminating the issues usually make the website completely cross-browser compatible.
