Can I reinstall myBB installation?

I installed myBB via CPANEL's Quick Install, installing 1.6.2. I then updated it to 1.6.3 but now have problems on my website. My website goes intermittent. Sometimes, I can access it, sometimes, it goes down, inaccessible. I have no idea why it's intermittent. Not even my hosting provider can answer. They said it's all good on their side.

Checking on my logs, I only have 1 error. "robot.txt" does not exist. But they said that it has nothing to do with my problem.

So I decided to reinstall it with myBB's full install 1.6.3.

Is it possible to reinstall without loosing my configs and posts on my forum?
You could start by making sure all the files are correct. Upload 1.6.3 except for the /inc/settings.php & /inc/config.php
Does that give any error message when its not accessible? If there is no errors, then the problem is with hosting only.
If there is an error message, post it here so that support team can assist you with it.
I don't think robot.txt will make forum inaccessible.

A fresh install will remove all data from your forum. So use "Upgrade" option instead.
Done reinstallation to 1.6.3.

When it's inaccessible, it's only in my side. This was confirmed with hostgator's tech support. I don't know how it happened but after reinstallation, the problem still exist.

Hostgator's tech support is working on the problem. It's not just on mybb installation this time but when it happens, all my other subdomains gets inaccessible from my PC. When I can't access all my subdomains, the tech support gave me a link to open my subdomain via proxy. I can open all subdomains via proxy, but not directly via my PC (without proxy). It's actually intermittent. Sometimes, I can open. Sometimes, cannot open.

As for the robot.txt file, maybe it's because of the tags I inserted in headerinclude file. I inserted SEO friendly meta tags. Meta description, meta keywords, and "<meta name="robots" content="index, follow, noodp" />", which in that case, robots.txt doesn't exist in my system.

Problem is not actually related to myBB, I guess.
Reinstalling was totally unnecessary, if you took a backup and then restored that to get your data back, you're using the exact same data you were using before, so nothing's actually changed. If there's intermittent connection problems, it's not a MyBB issue. Reinstalling is pretty much never the solution to anything.

Sounds like there's something wrong with your computer or internet connection then...
