Hey guys,
Sorry, i have forgotten how to do this. I did it on one of my VPSs, but i cannot remember how I did it.
But how do you enable
http://cpanel.domain.com and
http://whm.domain.com ?
It worked on one VPS without any plugins, so i know it can be done with it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
What do you mean "enable"? You could use CNAME records to point them to a directory, if that's what you're asking.
Alright, if i was to visit
http://cpanel.domain.com - I could access cpanel. If i was to access
http://whm.domain.com - I could access WHM.
I enabled it on my first VPS, but i cannot remember how and i want to do it on my new VPS.
Yeah, just use CNAME records to forward them to their directories.
It's called cPanel Proxy and is built into cPanel/WHM by default. I once had a server where the cPanel Proxy stopped working and I could never get it to work again.

Yeah, I knew it was default and built in. I cannot find it in the settings at all. Its a brand new VPS, so yeah...... i'll have to keep trying i think.

Why can't you use DNS records?

cpanel/whm runs on a diffrent port than normal web traffic.

This. The cPanel Proxy was designed so people who cannot access non-HTTP ports (i.e. behind a proxy/firewall themselves) can access cPanel/WHM's ports (2082, 2083, 2086, and 2087) over port 80. A redirect will still result in blocked access.
