I need to make a special usergroup on one of my forums. It has to have basic moderator privilidges (move and rename threads) but not global/supermod priviliges (no banning, etc), and only in one forum of the entire forum.
How do I do it? thanks!
Here is how you create a group:
1: Go to
ACP.
2: Then click on
USERS & GROUPS tabs.
3: Then click on
GROUPS button.
4: Click on
ADD NEW USER GROUP tab.
5: Give a
title to your user group.
6: Give a
short description.
7: Give it a
username style (change the color name). You can change it to like:
<span style="color: green;"><strong><em>{username}</em></strong></span>
8: Edit this "
Copy Permissions From...".
9: Change this "Don't copy permission from another groups" to "Moderators".
10: Save User Group.
Then to give them permission to a specific forum, here is what you do:
1: Go to
ACP.
2: Click on
Forums & Posts Tab.
3: Choose the forum that you want & click on
Options.
4: Click on
Add Moderators.
5: Enter the User group Name.
6: Save & now they will only be allowed to delete topic or lock topics in that forum.
