In the past few days my Server Load identified in the AdminCP, has been well over 10. In a previous thread of mine I was told that the server loads should be no where near this figure. Ive seen it reach 14.9 and because of this load my forum is starting to get slow when loading etc.

Notes:
As I post this the server load is 10.42 with 2 google bots online, and me.
I have recently added cometchat for MyBB onto my forum.

Anyone know why this is happening and what I could do to resolve this problem?

If you are on shared hosting the load average is based on the server load of the whole server and not only your website. It could be that one of the websites also hosted on the server is causing this high server load.

Yer I am, its just so recently that it started happening
