I have added a custom userfield on my forum
With the name referrer I'v set
editable by user: no
reqired: no
hidden on profile: yes
when i try to edit this user in ModCP it's won't change
any help on that?
Try to change it in ACP > users > Edit user . If its change in ACP then it would be a bug in ModCP which is referred many times here.

It was rejected due to numerous issues on the same topic. But it was said on the same ticket (which I wrote above) that the target version for its resolving is 1.6.4:

It looks like it may be fixed in 1.6.4
well it was meant to be fixed in 1.6.2
then they moved it to 1.6.3
and now 1.6.4

Actually its targeted version for the fix has been proposed 1.6.4 . And they are paying attention to the Upgrade just they want to collect some bug reports so they release the New Version with their fixes.
