Just popped into my mind, but ya know when you post a topic and you wait for replies in the forum viewing all your recently submitted topics? no? oh well, I believe an AJAX forum updater that auto updates post count/topic count on homepage and forum page would be so cool. Just viewing the homepage seeing the numbers go up up up. It probably won't happen, but I can dream of a modern/futuristic forum.
That's my more 2 cents, i'm on a roll Toungue
Thanks shovenose for more pennies.
Also a good idea. But that would put tremendous server load.
Oh and here are 2 more pennies Toungue
Not if MyBB utilized a system like BigPipes such as Facebook http://www.facebook.com/notes/facebook-e...9414033919

Yes, because MyBB and sites that use have or need the resources facebook does...

It's not something that's not needed on most forums. You would be sending updates for no reason. It may be great on large forums but overkill on smaller ones and most shared hosts would probably ban MyBB.
MyBB is a light-weight forum system. This is a feature that isn't needed as core.
Sounds like major overkill to me really. If people want this they can have a plugin for it.
