MyBB Community Forums

This might seem like a very simple question, but I can't seem to create a new main forum on mybb. I have the default theme and some plugin's installed... maybe I messed something up somewhere?

What I am trying to do is get that "contributor Section" to be a main heading like Articles is above it. Articles will eventually have many categories, but the contributor should be separated from all of that.

When I create a new forum and set the parent value to "none" I am told:

The following errors were encountered:
You must select a parent forum.

Can I only have one main forum or can I have multiple?

When you create a new forum, check "Category" where its checked "forum"

HAHAHA!!! How in the world did I miss that! I just knew it was going to be something silly.
