Just working on this at the moment, plenty of content to be added. Just waiting on getting a new theme designed (talking to some designers). Will be launching fully in the next few weeks.
Little competition on there to get people going.
If I was you I'd fill your site with content/discussions before you advertise. Not many people would want to join a site with hardly any posts at all.
I'm aware of how to run a forum, was just posting for the sake of it really, can update when things get done then.

its still a bit empty. you coould join postloop to fill your forum somehow to make it attractive to new visitors

I agree there's no need for sarcastic replies! You say yourself that you're posting "for the sake of it really", but what exactly are you "Showcasing" here, other than the fact you can upload a forum software to a web site and install it, then edit it a little and install a theme to it!

That's part of the announcement section, but it doesn't say anything about what the aim of the forum is. Sure, the title names Man United but that's it, you really should take another look at this, and try to come up with something more descriptive about your forum.
You can change logo for most expanded. You can add keywords and description to metatags. Spam bots attacked your community. Advertisement of Viagra? Facepalm.

I run a business full time, so I'm working on it. I've ran several large forums. The new theme is ordered, adwords campaign start's Monday, offsite SEO paid for and plenty more to come.

Meh, offsite SEO is just bullshit lol. No offense, but they don't tend to help much. Adwords might though. I still think you should add content before advertising, and if you don't have time then why make it?
