Where can i find the layout for this part of the site.

I want to have the part where it tells you your PM's, view todays posts and etc, laid out as it would be in default.

It should be in the 'header_welcomeblock_member' template.

but if you look at my site (after i have altered this), all the correct stuff is there, but the layout isnt right.

i just mean this bit ares, there is no padding or styling like there normally is.

That is your portal page and the templates for the welcome back block are

portal_welcome_membertext
portal_welcome_guesttext

In your 'header' template, check if {$welcomeblock} is wrapped in a div with id #panel, like this:

			<div id="panel">
				{$welcomeblock}
			</div>
