MyBB Community Forums - Changing forum icons

In this thread here, a user tells you how to remove the icons completely.

I'm just wanting to change the icons to something different. I found the location of the "New Thread" image (images/english), overwrote the file newthread.gif with my newthread.gif in my FTP.

When I refresh my forum page, it still shows the default New THread button. However, in the FTP when I click on the newthead it shows the preview of the button and it's my new one...

any suggestions?

Try refreshing your browser with Shift+F5 or Shift+refresh button.

What's your forum's URL ? if you are using another theme (other then default theme) then probably the image path is incorrect.

I got the "new post" one to show up, not not the New Thread, and I made sure the image path was correct.

Yes, but there is difference between a normal refresh (= soft refresh, images/javascript/... are loaded from cache) and a refresh with Shift (= hard refresh, everything will be reloaded).

But anyway, what's the url of your forum?

I know, I did a hard refresh.

Edit: It seems that when my FTP told me I had the green new thread in my images folder, it lied. I refreshed and it went back to the blue, so I retransferred the green and it seems to be working.

Darn you FTP

Yes, for some reason when my FTP said successful transfer, it actually didn't transfer over, so I just re-transferred it and now it's showing up.
