Okay, so I transferred my forum to a new host and followed some tutorial and it seemed fine until I checked some stuff out and apparently:

1. It relies on the old database (ie: I disable database on old host, site stops working. Disable database on new host nothing happens)

2. It relies on old host for file checks (I tried to run upgrade.php and it said the lock file was still in place, I deleted it on the new host. Still detects lock file, went to old host and deleted lock file and then it lets me run upgrade.)

It can take time for your website to fully move to a new host..its not a 3second thing.

I'm not an idiot...it's been 48 hours.
Domain propagation takes less then 24 hours.

Did you change domains as well?
Did you change the database settings in /inc/config.php?
Did you change the cookie domain/path and bburl in the /inc/settings.php?
